Formula

Converted seconds = original wattage × original seconds ÷ target wattage. Microwave efficiency and food condition vary, so heat for a shorter time first and adjust.

  • For frozen foods, meat, and fish, always check that the center is heated properly.
  • When unsure, heat for a shorter time and add more time gradually.
